Application Guidelines for the “Confirmation Letter of Invitation” for foreigners entering China The “Confirmation Letter of Invitation” must be used in conjunction with the invitation letter. The invitation letter that is issued to the invitee should be printed on paper with the inviting company’s full name and office address. The invitation letter should include: 　　1) The invited company’s full name, the purpose of its visit, the number of entries required, the expected arrival date and the duration of each stay. 　　2) The invitee’s full name, position, passport number and date of birth. 　　3) The inviting company’s office address, telephone number and fax number. 　　The invitation letter should be signed by the inviting company’s legal representative and have the company’s official seal (the invitation letter does not need to be submitted when applying for the “Confirmation Letter of Invitation). 　　1. About the “Confirmation Letter of Invitation” 　　The inviting company should, on behalf of their invitee, apply for the “Confirmation Letter of Invitation” in departments that are authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. When applying for a business /working visa at Chinese consulates abroad, the invitee must provide a “Confirmation Letter of Invitation”. 　　The Foreign Affairs Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government (hereinafter referred to as“the Foreign Affairs Office”) is authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review the applications from government organizations, public institutions and corporations with independent legal representatives in Shenzhen and issue the “Confirmation Letter of Invitation” to them. With this in hand, invitees can proceed to apply for a business visit or working visa at their local Chinese Consulates. 　　The application documents for the “Confirmation Letter of Invitation” must be submitted by the local inviting company to the Foreign Affairs Office. 　　2.
