Campus loneliness Loneliness, as one of feelings of modern people, is getting more and more widespread and infectious between us, young people in particular.(Con) It seems to me, campus loneliness, as a common feeling between college students, may cause emotional distress, anger and feelings of anxiousness. (Con) People who are lonely tend to be withdrawn even further when they have limited social interaction or if they have fears of being rejected. Some people in college thought that they were lonely. In my view, their reasons can be listed as follows. Firstly, they had to leave their warm and familiar home to a strange area alone in order to further their study on one subject. (Cen) There was no person they knew, and every corner were full of strange faces. (Bal) Therefore, they felt lonely, and no one cared them. (Bal)Secondly, they failed to find one or two intimate friend with the same sex or different sex after living a period in college. For instance, when others called their close friend, went shopping with boyfriend or chatted with girlfriend, those who were still single would feel down and even little jealous. Feeling heart-broken, he would be lonely, if nobody comprehend him. (Cen) Thirdly, study was not as important as it in high school. In university, there were more significant things such like communication skills, interpersonal relationship, healthy body and so on. (Cen) Fresh man, who was just free from the heavy burden in their senior high school, did not know what they should do except study hard. (Con) So lots of them were addicted to online and mobile devices. In other words, ignorance towards arrangement of their spare time made them lonely. For those experiencing loneliness, the problem does not have to be permanent, they just have to find methods and activities that help them to overcome loneliness. A person should get out, and meet new people. (Bal) What’s more, participating in group activities is also an effective method. As far as I ca
