At the beginning of the case study of Shanghai, the author has explained briefly why Shanghai was chosen as the critical case given its pre-reform institutional characteristics and post-reform housing market development. The title, abstract, literature review, research questions, conclusion, and bibliography are refined according to the new structure and contents of the paper. Some typos and grammar errors in the original article have been corrected.
