Subject : Research and Development of the Monitoring Software of the Automatic Mist Control System on Fully-mechanized Mining Face Specialty : Control Theory and Control Engineering Name : Liu Shoufeng (Signature) Instructor : Gao Yun (Signature) ABSTRACT In the process of mining operation on fully-mechanized mining face, mine dust is born inevitably. To avoid dust explosion and guarantee mine production safety, the automatic mist control system tracks dust sources promptly and controls related apparatus to spray water in accordance with some requirements automatically. Research and development of the remote monitoring subsystem is significant for monitoring the working status of this spray system in real-time, remotely and conveniently. This thesis analyzes the subsystem actual demands based on introduction of the spraying control system, and then designs the whole structure of monitoring software, which includes monitoring-computer interaction module, data communication module, and database module. The monitoring-computer interaction module displays monitoring information and provides operation platform for monitoring worker. The data communication module completes communication with host spray controller. The database module manages mist system’s running data. The software completes many tasks, such as real-time data acquisition, data processing, data storage, data display, querying historical database, sending upper commands to host spray controller, and so on, which is based on Windows
