He himself cooked the dinner. Some are boys, some are girls. Who can that be? Oh John! Section II– Sentence Stress 虚词不重读 不重读强调的词主要包括：1）? ? ? ? 限定词，如the, a ,some, a few2）? ? ? ? 助词，如don’t, am, can, were3）? ? ? ? 介词，如before, next to, opposite4）? ? ? ? 连词，如but, while, as5）? ? ? ? 人称代词，如they, she, us, themselves, ourselves例如：So the ‘two ‘young ‘brother ‘work ‘hard at ‘that ‘time. 所以那两兄弟在那时很努力地工作。 Section II– Sentence Stress 虚词的强式和弱式 We saw Jack and Jill. Mary and Jane are sisters. I can do it. It was a good job. Section II– Sentence Stress 特殊现象– 实词不重读、 虚词重读 Study as your brother studies. What a delicious apple! I like such apples. My wife is the finest person I know. Do you know Bill? He’s charming fellow. He has gone out and come back again. Downing Street; Tenth Street And so on! And so forth. The ‘Chinese people won! He speaks Chi’nese very well! Our teacher is kind-’hearted! He’s a ‘kind-hearted teacher! * * * Class Three Stress Class Three Stress 1 单词重音 一般来说，若单词只有1至3个音节，则在该单词首安母处重读；若单词有4个或4个以上的音节，则在倒数第三个音节处重读。如：university【ju:niv?:siti】,??difficult [‘difik?lt] ,? ???Study [‘stΛdi], good(免写重音符号) [gud]。??派生词的重音多数仍为词根原来的重音。如：cover, discover.
