It supersedes BS EN 10088-2:1995 which is withdrawn. The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee ISE/30, Stainless steels, which has the responsibility to: — aid enquirers to understand the text; — present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed; — monitor related international and European developments and promulgate them in the UK. BS EN 10088 is published in three parts. Two further parts of this series (prEN 10088-4 and prEN 10088-5) are currently in preparation and have been designed to meet the needs of the Construction Products Directive (CPD).
