Before October 1926, Chiang Kaishek did not raise the motion of moving the capital to Wuhan, just requested that the National Government select some important officials to take charge of the governmental affairs in Wuhan, his motivation w as not only against Tang Shengzhi, the leftists of KMT and Com munist Party of China, but also had the consideration of developing KMT to consolidate Northern expedition results. The Communist Party of China w as against the proposal of moving the capital to Wuhan, in accordance w ith the attitude of the representative of the Communists International.
