ABSTRACT ABSTRACT Hullprincipaldimensionandlinesdesignandresearch to50,000dwtopenHatch Multi-PurposeCargoShip,dependingonthedesignanddevelopmentofthefifth generationbighatchmulti-purposecargoship,haswidelycollectedandanalyzed theinformationwhichreferredtotheresultsofhulllinesproofandoptimization samekindshipsofhomeandabroad,followedandunderstoodthe techniquerequirementsandadaptabilityfromworldshipping,ports,waterwayand cargo,optimizedtheprincipaldimensionsandhulllines. Tostartwith,thecharacteristicsofthethirdandfourthgenerationshipswere analysed.AndthethoughtofprincipaldimensionsanditsdesignprocedureofThe fifthweregiven.Principaldimensionsweredemonstrated,theeffectstodeadweight, cargodeadweightandvalidcargodeadweightcubiccapacityrfomtheirlength, depth,waterdraftandblockcoefficientwereanalysed.Therelationshipbetween hatchwidthnadshipbroads,lengthofcargotanks,lengthoftanks,therelationship betweengeneralplanandshipdimensions,therelationshipbetweendimensionsand mainpropertieslikespeediness,seakeeping,resistanceandmanipulationwere studied Asamulti-purposecargoship,cubiccargotanksarerequiredasmanyaspossible.
