To discuss the technique of 64-slice spiral CT subtraction angiography (64-SCTSA) in head-neck portion, and evaluate its clinical application. Methods A total of 92 subjects, who underwent 64-SCTA in head and neck without any pathology of CCAB from June 1, 2008 to June 30, 2010, were selected from the PACS in our hospital. There are 40 cases (≤40 years old) and 52 cases (40 years old), whose axial images were used to reconstructed with a variety of post-processing techniques. The bifurcation angle and diameters of two groups were observed and measured on 3D images. 120 patients examined with 64-SCTSA were suspicious of vessels diseases. Their imaging findings were retrospectively analyzed, including the examination technique, image quality and clinical application. Diagnoses of 64-SCTSA were contrasted with that of surgery or DSA.
