The aim is to ?nd the optimal cross-layer resource allocation policy to maximize the weighted sum-rate of the considered two-way relay system while guaranteeing the bounded delay-QoS constraints for both users. By applying the concept of e?ective capacity, the delay requirements are characterized as the statistical QoS exponents, which are the only information exchanged between layers. The cross-layer optimization problem then is equivalent to a weighted sum e?ective capacity maximization problem. The optimal joint power and rate adaptation policy for the two-phase two-way relaying is derived. Numerical results show that the proposed policy can e?ciently support diverse QoS requirements and signi?cantly improve the performance compared with either the ?xed power scheme or the conventional weight-based method.
