Such a style of Legal English is sometimes known as?“frozen style” 1. Legal language is characteristic in lexical, syntactical, and textual structures. Legal English is standard and consistent in terms, appropriate in style, formulaic in expression, special in sentence structure, etc.?China had ranked the forth greatest economic object and under such circumstances, China, indeed, needs to promote better international communications within the field of legal language translation. Most impressively, the ties between China and other countries turn to be increasingly close. However, the present situation of Legal English translation in China is not so preferable, not mature enough. Legal English translation in China at present is a brand-new subject with few masterpieces and remarkable researching fruits. After the Reform and Open-up policy being put into practice, more and more Chinese laws and regulations were translated into English in order to attract more foreign investors, businessmen and legal researchers. Various types of laws were translated into Chinese to face the needs of the self-development of China as well. Nevertheless, these translations achieved greatly but some of them were poorly translated and many of them were weak in expression, according to Chen Zhongcheng, a famous translator in China. Legal language is characterized lexically and syntactically, therefore a good translation should be alternative in choosing translation skills and obey several basic translation pri
