Abstract:SiemensPLCcontrollingsystemandWINCChumanmachineinterfaceserversareappliedinheat
treatmentfurnacesofheavyplatemill,Baosteel.Becauseofthespecialheattreatmentprocess,whileforthese
curityofhightemperaturefurnaceroller,reliabilityofcontrolsystemneedstobeveryhigh.Toimproverelia
bilityofsystem,SiemensS7400HredundantcontrolsystemandredundantWINCCserverwereapplied,which
achievestherapidandreliableswitchbetweenmasterandstandbysystem.Thesystemisabletorealizethe
productionstreamlinesafeandcontinuousrunningwithoutinterruptionandunderguarantyingthemasterrun
ningsystemandthesparecounterpartrunwell.Theactualstateofoperationprovesthat,thereliabilityofcon
trolsystemaresignificantlyimproved,andthesecurityandstabilityofheattreatmentfurnaceareguaranteed.
