The female character portrayed in the film conveys to the audience the spirit of unremitting struggle in adversity, perseverance in love, protection of dignity, and yearning for freedom. It shows the spirit of pursuing a better life without fear of hardship and with positive optimism. Scarlett, the heroine of the film, was born in a wealthy family. She had a good living condition since childhood and was a favorite of thousands of people. However, after the Civil War, her family was destroyed, and a series of unfortunate events happened, such as unhappy love scene, mid-life loss of her husband, death of her beloved daughter, and her husband leaving home. However, Scarlett was not defeated. She always dared to face everything, and was strong and strong. Optimism has levelled the barriers in life. The feminine spirit embodied in Scarlett inspired the passion of women compatriots all over the world in pursuit of freedom and equality. This topic focuses on explaining and analyzing Scarletts concept of love, marriage and independent personality in Gone with the Wind, then elaborating her feminist spirit, and analyzing the positive influence of Scarletts feminist spirit on the modern feminist movement.
