Methods: 134 cases of heel bone comminuted fracture were randomly divided into group A and group B， with 67 cases in each group. Group A was taken oral detumescence recipe of traditional Chinese medicine， group B was taken half-dose Mannitol intravenous drop recipe. 7 days after surgery， the curative effect was observed. Results: The complete detumescence rate (0 level) of group A at 7 days after surgery was %， higher than group B (%)， with statistically significant difference (P＜). The effect rate of group A was %， higher than group B (%)， the difference was significant (P＜). The skin necrosis rate of group A was %， lower than group B (%). Conclusion: The detumescence recipe of traditional Chinese medicine can enhance the detumescence effect during perioperative period of heel bone comminuted fracture， and reduce the skin necrosis rate.
