He was born in Dublin,Ireland.In 1879 he began to write novels,and in 1884 he joined the socialist Fabian Society,of which he became a leading number. In 1892 he started to write dramas impressed by Ibsen’s plays.In 1925,he recevied the Nobel Prize for literature.
