AEROSPACE AS7928A STANDARD Issued 1999-06 Revised 2008-02 Superseding AS7928 (R) Terminals, Lug: Splices, Conductor: Crimp Style, Copper, General Specification For FSC 5940 RATIONALE The purpose of the AS7928A revision is to correct out of date references. Minor technical changes may have occurred to clarify a requirement. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope This specification covers insulated and uninsulated crimp-style copper terminal lugs and conductor splices for stranded conductors. 1.2 Classification Terminals and conductor splices covered by this specification shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.3): Type I - Uninsulated Type II - Insulated Class 1 - Terminals and conductor splices which conform to all of the requirements of this specification when installed with the crimping tool or crimping dies shown on the applicable AS, specification sheet. Class 2 - Terminals and conductor splices which conform to the material and marking requirements of this specification are replaceable by class 1 terminals, and conform to the performance requirements of this specification when crimped with
