Ss:Yes. T: But few days ago, it was very hot. So everything will change. Just like you, you’ve changed a lot during these 3 years. I remember Zhu Chao used to be shy, but now he is outgoing. Yang Chengqi used to play more, but now he works hard. Step 2. Review Ss look the picture and talk about the girl’s changes with “ used to ” and “ but now ”. Have some Ss show one by one. Then give a short summary about people’s changes with a chart. Step 3. Reading 3a Pre-reading T: Today we are going to know a girl called Candy. Open your books on P27. Look at the title and answer the questions. T shows some pictures and questions and Ss try to answer. Review one of the reading tips: pay attention to the picture and the title While-reading ①Ss read the article as fast as they can and finish the task. Review one of the reading tips: Pay attention to the first or the last sentence of each paragraph by completing the task. ②Questions about the details of paragraph 1 ③Fill the chart about the details of paragraph 2 ④Fill the blanks about the details of paragraph 3 During the steps, T teaches the new words: background,deal,shyness,crowd,tons,private,guard,require. 3. Post-reading Listen and do the task 3b. Check the answers. After that, Ss read together. Step 4. Pairwok T shows the title and has Ss disscuss what kind of questions they will ask. After some Ss talk about, T helps them to sum up the kind of the questions. S
