Archival departments at all levels and the vast majority of archivists must attach great importance to it. This research firstly introduces the relevant theories, and then the connotation, basic support, types, advantages and the main responsible agencies of archives online service. Based on abundant data and vivid examples, this research has an in-depth analysis of the status quo of archives online service in China, a summary of the achievements and some existing problems, and the corresponding development countermeasures.
