Study Study on Wood-based hybrid Materials of Boron·containing and Boron carbide侈乃odceramics Abstract h this paper,wood-based hybrid materials of boron-containing WaS inado with boron draw into fir powder by sol-gel.Boron carbide was made by vacunm high temperature.The property and mechanism ofhybrid and boron carbide woodceramics were researched by modem testing technology. Primary work as follow: 1.Fir powder/boric acid was prepared wi血fir powder,boric acid,water as raw materials and KH550 as orgnosilane with self-made high pressure container缸 different temperature.FTlR,XRD.SEM showed that the pore of fir powder were fdled with boric acid.and B-0一C of hybrid materials were made with_0H of boric acid and-OH of powder.The cellulose crystal of powder wcre destroyed.TGA showed that hybrid materials were stable at lligh temperature.WPG showed that the WPG of the hybrid materials is 65%at 120℃and Increasing with the grow of powder,but the growing range ofWPG will cut down. 2.Fir powder/phenolic resin containing boron was prepared with fir powder, boric acid,fonnaldehye,phenol as raw materials and NaOH as catalyst.ne structures and propenies ofthe hybrid materials were analyzed by FTIR,XRD,SEM and TGA respectively.The results showed that the pore of fir powder Were filled with phenolic resin containing boron.The cellulose crystal ofpowder were destroyed,and B-O-C Was made.Through t experiment,we found the hybrid materials have the higher fire resistance,higher dimension stable and higher mechanical strength. 3.Boron carbide woodceramics was made of fir powder/phen-olic resIn containing boron were fired at llOO℃in vacnuln.FTIR,XRD.SEM showed that there were B·C structure and iffiactive eigenvalue of B4C in samples.Boron carbide woodceramics retained the microstmctures of charcoal,and emerged ninosized boron carbide network structure.
