Imply meaning: not only can the terrible events but also the good events bring people together.). 2、Reading Strategy: 1) Predict the content of the passage by reading the title to facilitate the ability of prediction. 2) Skim for the main idea by reading the first sentence of each paragraph to develop the ability of generalization. 3) Scan for specific information by filling the chart to foster Ss the ability of perusal. 3、Words,expressions: Learn and understand the key words and expressions (passage, pupil, bright, playground, bell, complete, silence, recently, date, tower, realize, truth). 4、Sentence patterns: Understand the adverbial clauses with when, while, questions and statements with past progressive and past tense to use them to describe an event. . 5、Value: Mobilize the enthusiasm of students effectively. Train students to have self-confidence and ability to cooperate. Build harmonious, democratic, united, and respectful atmosphere.
