In the scheme various redundant technology is used to improve safety and reliability of shipping , also a number of mechanism is taken to help the maintenance and diagnosis of the complex sys tem. The design of software , hardware and man machine interface for the system is described with emphasis , some crucial problems are discussed and their solutions are also provided in the paper.
