Abstract The name of The Green word began in the Tang Dynasty. The development of the green word got the unprecedented flourishing state in Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty. Because of the ruler’s preferences, the creation of the green word became the most useful tool for the ministers. They tried to cater the rulers by their creations. Based on this historical phenomenon, this thesis gives the systematic dissertation which consisted of four parts. The first part is the dissertation of the green word of Taoism, the second part is the dissertation of the relationship of Ming Shizong and Taoism, the third part is the dissertation of the role played by the green word in the politics of Jiajing, the fourth part is the dissertation of the impacts on Jiajing society. Since the emergence of the green word, its functions and special literary had attracted a large number of creators. And it got Ming Shingzong’s favor. His belief of Taoism was so firm, so he paid special attention to Taoist Praying and the creation of the green word. The green word also took effect in Jiajing society. It even played a leading role for the political situation in this period. The green word had great efforts to participate the politics. The most obvious example is the emergence and existence of the “Green word prime minister”. In the process of the green word playing an increasingly important role, Jiajing society was gradually be affected. Politics was corrupt and finance was hard and the trouble on the frontier was serious. For Ming Shingzong, he could not escape the tragic fate at last. But the belief of Taoism also took counterproductive in the development of Taoism and the green word. The development of Taoism was getting closer to the secular society. The creation of the green word got its peak. Although the development of Taoism went downhill since Jiajing, but all about this provide us the reference and guidance.
