II II Abstract Dai Zhen is a famous thinker in Qing Dynasty, he did well in textual research, He got especially great achievement in philosophical connotations. His later works, which was named The hermeneutics on the meaning of words of Mencius, achieved the highest point in terms of philosophy. This article starts with the book The hermeneutics on the meaning of words of Mencius as the starting point. Seeing from its appearance, Dai Zhen was advanced the theory of Mencius. Actually, he was to discribe his own philosophical thought. and criticize the falsity and fraudulenceof the school of platoic ideas. At that time, most of the people demoted this book. This article discussed the modern effect of this book. Philosophical thoughts of The hermeneutics on the meaning of words of Mencius embodies Dai Zhen’s deep introspection and criticism of song and ming philosophy.
