ABSTRACT Jadeite is a kind of gem-jade with fine texture. And it has so many characters, such as the connotation of tough, gorgeous color, long-standing cultural, etc. It also plays an important role among the gemstone and jadeite. According to the color mechanism, the color of jadeite can be classified by two type, primary color and secondary color. Secondary colors mainly have three kinds of color system: yellow—bronzing, green-grey—deep-green, and blue-green. Besides, most jadeites have white clay mineral in them. Now, the research direction of jadeite concentrates mainly on Mineralogy, Petrology, and Metallogeny. Its research of historical origin, modern technology of jadeite sculpture and so on has stepped into a new stage, which has scored great success as well. However, because lack of the realization of the whole system, the research about the direction of secondary changes of jadeite has been a little bit weak. To address this problem, in this article, I have selected more than twenty natural yellow-bronzing secondary jade samples, use for the systematic analysis of yellow-bronzing secondary jadeite (Natural and fired product), which has improved the research towards the changes of yellow-bronzing secondary jadeite. In this paper, I mainly study these aspects: the construction of jade sample, the existing way and composition of mineral and so on. I adopted various kinds of modern testing technology to test and analyze the selected samples, such as fourier infrared spectroscopy (IR), electronic probe, etc. combine with the polarizing microscope. First of all, by observing hand specimen and the observation of jade slice under the crossed Nicol, I did a research about the filling-metasomatism form of all kinds of secondary jadeite. Second of all, by using infrared micro spectrometer as test instrument, the attribute of secondary mineral has been primarily confirmed.
