Abstr Abstract Shanghai Normal University Master of Philosophy 万方数据 万方数据 Abstract Fu Xuan and Fu Xian, branches of the Fu clan family in Beidi, both were politicians, writers and thinkers in Wei and Jin Dynasty and had wide and deep influence on the time and afterworld. Fu Xuan, born in Later Han Dynasty, was Zhuzuolang in Cao Wei and then became a devoted founder of Western Jin Dynasty. In his youth, metaphysical talking of Zhengshi was prevalent but he was not confused by the current popularity and devoted himself seeking the theory and method to the practical problems. He was a prolific writer. Fu Zi was a classic with substantial content and broad thinking and Fu Xuan Ji, with abundance of materials and diversity of styles, carried on the legacy of Jian’an and deeply influenced the stylistic transformation of Western Jin. Fu Xian, son of Fu Xuan, was also a loyal like his father in Western Jin and he was famous for his outstanding loyalty. Concerning literature writing, his works distinctively showed the pure features of Confucianism and it was his conscious pursuit. His Qi Jing Poetry initiated the Ji Ju poetry and“Fu Xian style”was also outstanding in Chinese literature. This chronicle, based on prior achievement, plans to reorganize relative documents as much as possible and carry on further research. This thesis contains two parts: The first part is the study of Fu Xuan and Fu Xian, including studies of the clan family, the relationship of that era and the works concerned. Each study contains basic reorganized documents and places particular emphasis on certain subjects, such as the political relationship of the large and influential clan families of Beidi, the social intercourse of Fu Xuan and Fu Xian and ideology study of FU Zi and the discrimination of“Fu Xuan style”.
