Low-carbon life 刘丽 After the Copenhagen meeting, low-carbon has become a catch word in the Chinese popular media and daily conversation of Chinese people. what is low carbon life What might happen if there’s so much carbon? Greenhouse Effect: The global temperature has been getting higher and higher; The sea level is rising continuously; The pests and diseases have been increasing; And so on. Why do we advocate low-carbon life? But because of the development of the world industrial economy, the fast increase of population, and the unlimited increase of the human desire, our living environment is becoming more and more worse, like the resources reduce, water pollution ,air pollution,ect. How to live a low-carbon life? Secondly, we should develop good habits in our daily lives. * Firstly, we should understand low-carbon. Low-carbon refers to a minimal output of greenhouse gas emissions, specially refers to the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide. Secondly, low-carbon life means a kind of life style that people do their best to reduce energy consumption and carbon greenhouse gas emissions. Long time ago, the Earth mother left our so rich energy, like water resources, climate resources, biological resources, land resources , mineral resources and so on. And the high-consumption and high-pollution economy model and life style is becoming the killer of the earth and human beings. So the environment question and the sustainable development is the most urgent topic. Therefore, we should protect our earth which is the only one that provide the living environment for human. and a low-carbon life is needed by mans own health, harmony between human beings and nature and the development of mankind. Each of us have Responsibility for the carbon greenhouse gases emissions,and Low-carbon life needs everyone’s participation. so in our daily actions, we should start from our own.
