AbstractObjective To study the role of serumβ -hCG and IL-1 in diagnosising of infections in premature rupture of membranes.Methods A total of 100 term-pregnancy patients with premature rupture of membranes in our hospital were enrolled for study，and 50 normal pregnant women is control group. One hour before delivery,3ml venous blood were collected, serum β -hCG and IL-1 were detected. The fetal tissue and placental tissues were divided into infection group and non-infection group.Results In 100 term-pregnancy patients, 44 of them is infected. The average of serumβ-hCG of normal pregnant women is （7 557.86±2 922.06）IU/L, and premature rupture of membranes of the group is（18 636.96±14 379.10）IU/L, Infection of premature rupture of membranes of the group is（50 310.34±22 874.82） IU/L. Three of them were statistically significant(P0.05).According ROC curve, the normal group and the premature rupture of membranes group area under the curve(AUC) is 0.80. When β -hCG take 8 382.50IU/L,the sensitivity of diagnosising premature rupture of membranes is 71% and the specificity is 76%.Also, according ROC curve The premature rupture of membranes group and infection of premature rupture of membranes of the group is 0.87. When β-hCG take23 900.50IU/L,the sensitivity of diagnosising infections in premature rupture of membranes is 77.5% and the specificity is 78.6%. Serumβ-hCG have clinical value of diagnosing of premature rupture of membranes and infection of premature rupture of membranes. Normal pregnant women (0.12±0.04)ng/ml and premature rupture of membranes (0.13±0.03) ng/ml of the group of serum IL-1 level is no statistically significant.While premature rupture of membranes (0.58±0.05)ng/ml of the group Infection of premature rupture of membranes of the group have statistically significant. According ROC curve,the prematurerupture of membranes group and infection of premature rupture of membranes ofthe group is 0.84. When IL-1 take0.38ng／ml,the sensitivity of diagn
