AbstractMetalfluoridehasbeenlargelydevelopedinrecentyears,andbecomesanewtypeoflithium-ionbatterycathodematerial.Foritsstoragemechanismofreversibleconversion,ithasnotonlyhighertheoreticalvoltage,butalsotimesofthespecificcapacityoftraditionalcathodematerialsuchasLiCoO2,LiMn2O4.Therefor,metalfluoridehasbeenahottopicintheresearchofcathodematerial.Ofallthemetalfluorides,bothofFeF3andCuF2areattractivefortheirhighspecificcapacity,lowcostandenvironmentalbenignity.Inthispaper,FeF3andCuF2compositesweresynthesizedviadopingwithmetalionandpreparingcomposite,anditsstructuralandelectrochemicalpropertieswereinvestigated.Fe1-xNi3x/2F3precursorwassynthesizedbyaliquidreactionmethod.TheFe1-xNi3x/2F3/Ccompositewaspreparedbymilling85wt.%Fe1-xNi3x/2F3and15wt.%acetyleneblack.TheeffectsofdopingwithnickelonthephysicalandchemicalpropertiesoftheFe1-xNi3x/2F3/CcompositewerestudiedbyXRD,SEMandelectrochemicalmeasurements.TheresultsshowthatthedopingofNi2+didnotchangethecrystalstructureofFeF3.Fe1-xNi3x/2F3/Ccompositeexhibitsexcellentelectrochemicalperformancewhenxis0.05.Fe0.95Ni0.075F3/Ccompositeelectrodedeliversaninitialdischargecapacityof211mAh?g-1andthecapacityretentionatthe30thcycleis82.9%(175mAh?g-1)atarateof0.1Cinthevoltagerangeof2.0~4.5V.EffectofreactionconditionsontheelectrochemicalperformancesofFe1-xCu3x/2F3/Cwasinvestigatedthroughorthogonaltest,includingdopingquantityofCu2+,desiccatingtemperature,desiccatingtimeandmillingtime.Theresultsofcapacityatrateof0.1C,1Cwereanalysedbyrangeanalysismethod,indicatingthatdopingquantityanddesiccatingtemperaturewerethedominantfactors.Theoptimizationconditionsofpreparationisthatxis0.03andthecompositewasdesiccatedat170℃for12handthenmilledfor4h.TheinitialdischargecapacityofFe0.97Cu0.045F3/Ccompositepreparedunderatoptimumconditionsatratesof0.1C,0.2C,0.5Cand1Care231mAh?g-1,212mAh?g-1,209mAh?g-1and169mAh?g-1,respectively.AndtheFe0.97Cu0.045F3/Cshowsgoodcycleperformanceafter3cycles.DifferentCuF2compositeswerepreparedbyannealingthemilledmixtureofCuF2anddifferent
