ABSTRACTSwitched reluctance motor is a motor developed in recent decades, it is get more and more attention because of its simple structure, low cost, high reliability, wide speed range and so on. Switched reluctance drive consist of a switched reluctance motor become a new generation of variable speed system after the frequency control system, brushless DC motor speed control system, it is integrating reluctance motor and modern power electronics technology, it is a typical mechatronic products, it is combined the advantages of DC motor speed control system and AC motor speed control system. Since it’s advantages compared to traditional AC and DC machines, so it becomes more and more popular.On the basis of switched reluctance motor briefly the basic structure and working principle, discussed the composition of pole distribution 8/6 pole switched reluctance motor, excitation mode and drive system. Then use Ansoft software to build a 8/6 pole switched reluctance motor prototype finite element model, and simulation comparison of different excitation mode, access to the 8/6 pole switched reluctance motor prototype parametric curves under different operating conditions. Finally, based on simulation data, using Fourier polynomial fitting method, the establishment of a 8/6 pole switched reluctance motor inductance parameter model, flux model, and based on this prototype torque model is derived, and with the limited contrast element results validate the correctness of the model.The results showed that the 8/6 SRM with NSNSNSNS pole distribution have a large torque and a small torque ripple under two-phase excitation mode; Calculated based on Fourier polynomial motor switched reluctance motor flux and torque model of rotor position and phase current detected value fast, accurate solution instantaneous torque, thereby inhibiting the control strategy for all types of switched reluctance motor torque ripple laid a theoretical foundation.Keywords ： 8/6 Switched Reluctance M
