cardiologist.Commercially available ELISA kits were used to detect serum APN、HO-1、 ox-LDL .The severity of coronary artery atherosclerosis was quantified with a modified Gensini score on the basis of angiographic imaging.The patients were also classified to1,2 and 3-vessel-lesion group by the number of significantly stenosed (≥50%) major coronary arteries.All data are analyzed SPSS13.0Result: The serum levels of adiponectin (APN)and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)in ACS patients were significantly descended as compared with SAP and controls ﹝ (5.84±2.29)vs(8.01±2.04)vs(15.27±2.51) ﹞;﹝(24.08±7.88)vs(32.86±10.97)vs(54.35±14.8)﹞ (P＜ 0.01 ). Whereas the level of oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) was ascended as compared with SAP and controls﹝(33.69±9.87)vs(23.42±6.02)vs(19.5± 6.63)﹞(P＜0.01 ). Serum levels of APN and HO-1 coronary artery disease in patients withmore coronary artery lesions were also significantly lower than the patients with less coronary artery lesions after classification by the number of coronary artery lesions. APN and HO-1 concentration increased with the development of atherosclerosis.The APN andHO-1 level of Gensini score 30was lower than that of Gensini score ＜30[ (5.75±2.28) mg/L vs(7.55±2.29) mg /L]; [(22.27±6.5)μg/L vs(32.38±10.6)μg/L,P＜0.01 ].But lowdensity lipoprotein level of Gensini score 30was higher than that of Gensini score ＜30 [ (37.5±7.32) μg /L vs(22.47±5.5) μg /L]. APN was associated with HO-1 positively ( r = 0.598, P＜0.01) and ox-LDL negatively ( r = - 0.511, P＜0.01) . HO-1 was associated with ox-LDL negatively ( r = -0.463,P＜0.01) .Adiponectin、HO-1was significantly associated with Gensini integrals negatively (r = - 0.576, P＜0.01,r = - 0.456, P＜0.01)but ox-LDL was associated with Gensini integrals positively(r = 0.561, P＜0.01).Conclusion: 1. The serum levels of adiponectin and HO-1 in ACS patients were significantly descended as compared with SAP and controls. whereas the level of oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LD
