AbstractIntelligentization and flexibility of terminal device can be greatly enhanced with the combination of embedded systems and network technologies, and promote the embedded browser and application technology. We can predict in the near future, that so long as there is a networks , any embedded terminal device can be realized information sharing by accessing each other through the networks.Konqueror-embedded is an open-source browser, specially designed for the embedded Linux, which is a well-known desktop operating environment derived from KDEs Konqueror browser. For the optimization of system, we can achieve the request of the systems view web page by taking advantage of these source codes. As the Konqueror browser UI part is achieved by applying QT, the user can operate the browser more conveniently.Firstly, this paper described an embedded LINUX software development process, and cross-compiler environment structure. Secondly, according to the demand of system function, the design of the system software and hardware platform was completed. On the hardware, the schematic design was completed,, including the power circuit, reset circuit, SDRAM circuits, LCD modules and network module. On the system software, construction of the underlying software was completed in the evaluation board, including the Bootloader analysis and modified migration, Linux kernel cutting and migration, the construction of file system and development of device driver.
