优秀毕业论文 精品参考文献资料 Abstract With the development of globalization, along with the improvement of governance theory and good governance, international non-governmental organizations(INGO), as a new type of governance, more and more frequently participate in local governance, and the role they play has been much more concerned. At present, the INGO often acts in the forefront of local governance. However, people know little about them. International experience shows that INGO in local governance plays an important role. Therefore, for their greater participation in the future of local governance in China, it has an important realistic significance and far-reaching historical significance to know more about INGO, to recognize their significance in local governance, as well as to find their shortages. This paper conducts a study on the existing INGO in Yunnan province. Through the study, it has been found that INGO in Yunnan act in a flexible and diverse way, and also serve a wide range of fields. They have played an important and unique role in local governance， which reflects in the following examples: they constructed a wide range of communication platforms for the clients and the general public in a special way; they supplied funding for local governance; they made up for the inadequacy of the government work; furthermore, the majority of the INGO have opted for cooperating with the local government or local NGOs or other INGO, which will not only strengthen cooperation but also empower the work of local government; what’s more, the INGO also play a role in technique support and policy advocacy. In a word, the INGO is very critical in local governance of Yunnan province. However, the study found the INGO face many problems, such as its legitimacy, identity issues, financial problems, lack of human resources, unreasonable organizational structure and so on.
