AbstractACE(AchieveCompetitiveExcellence)isthestandardoperationssystemof UTC(UnitedTechnologiesCorporation)anditssubsidiaries.ACEphilosophy originatesfromtheTQM(TotalQualityManagement)theoryinitiatedbyFeigenbaum intheearly1960s.ACEabsorbedtheconcepts of“QualityFirst”from Mr.Itoandthe ToyotaProductionSystem(TPSorLeanManufacturing)thatfocusesonthe continuousimprovement.ACEisthecombinationofthetwoinUTC.UTCbeganto fullyimplementtheACEmanagementsystem since1999,andithasbeeneffectively conductedforfourteenyears.FoundedonTQM,continuouskaizenandwaste elimination,consideringtheleanmanufacturingasthecore,andaimingtomaximize thevaluesofcustomers,employeesandshareholders,ACEhasdevelopeditsspecial qualitymanagementandoperationsmanagementsystems,whichprimarilycontain12 managementtools.Itbecameanextremelyimportantdrivingforceandthesourceof hugeprofitsforUTC.Therefore,manydomesticmanufacturingcompanieslearnfrom UTC,calibratetheirownmanagement,andimprovetheiroperationsmanagement systemsinordertoeffectivelyenhanceenterprisecompetitivenessinthemarket.ThethesisstudiedtheintroductionandapplicationofACEinUTC,and particularlyconcentratedontheapplicationofACEprinciplestoamanufacturing sectionofthecompanyA.TheauthordiscoveredtherelationshipsamongACE,TQM andleanmanufacturing,andidentifiedtheinnovationthat ACEcanbringtothe operationsmanagement.Accordingtotheresearchandrealpractice,theconclusion wasmadethat thesuccessofanoperationsmanagementsystemreckonsonthe stronglyreliablesupports fromtheorganizationandits regulationsystems.Inturn,the successhelps thecompanygainthecompetitiveexcellenceagainstits competitors and winmarketsharesintheintensecompetitions.Thisstudyreducesthegapofthe manufacturingindustrybetweendomesticfirmsandtheworld-classcompanies.It achievesthesignificantresultsintermsofproductquality,deliverycycleand customersatisfactionforthecompanyA,anditnowsubstantiallysupportsthe economicgrowthofthis company.Keywords:OperationsSystem,AchievableCompetitiveExcellence(ACE),TQM,Lean Manufact
