(+44) 20 754-79118 george.saravelos@ Arup Pal  This paper investigates whether commodity prices can help predict Strategist currencies or vice versa. We focus on CAD, NZD. We run more than half a (+91) 22 7181-1643 million regressions across more than two hundred FX-commodity arup.pal@ relationships over different time horizons, data frequencies, exchange rates and commodities. Our work casts a much wider net compared to the existing literature.  We find stronger evidence that currencies can help predict commodity prices rather than vice versa.
