PURPOSE AND SCOPE This Standard establishes technical requirements and shipment conditions for ferrosilicochrome used in the steel-making and foundry industries. Additional requirements reflecting the needs of the national economy are typed in italics. 2. DEFINITION Ferrosilicochrome is a doping alloy of iron, chromium, and silicon, which contains from 20.0% to 65.0% (mass) chromium and from 10.0% to 60.0% (mass) silicon, and is obtained by reduction or fusion. 3. ORDERING An order for ferrosilicochrome shall contain: quantity; method of batch formation; chemical composition according to table 1 and (or) table 2 and table 3; particle size ranges according to table 4 and (or) table 4a; requirements for the analysis record, packing, etc. Official Edition
