830Planning Schedule with Release CapabilityFunctional Group=PSThisDraftStandardforTrialUsecontainstheformatandestablishesthedatacontentsofthePlanningSchedulewithReleaseCapability TransactionSet(830)for usewithinthecontextofanElectronicDataInterchange(EDI)environment.Thetransactionsetcanbe usedto provideforcustomaryandestablishedbusinesspracticerelativetothetransferofforecasting/materialreleaseinformationbetween organizations.Theplanningscheduletransactionmaybe usedinvariouswaysorina combinationofways,suchas:(1)a simpleforecast;(2)a forecast withthebuyersauthorizationforthe sellertocommittoresources,suchaslaborormaterial;(3)a forecastthatisalso usedasanorder releasemechanism,containingsuchelementsasresourceauthorizations,period-to-datecumulativequantities,andspecificship/delivery patternsforrequirementsthathavebeenrepresentedinbuckets,suchasweekly,monthly,orquarterly.Theorderreleaseforecastmayalso containalldatarelatedto purchaseorders,asrequired,becausetheorderreleasecapabilityeliminatesthe need fordiscretegenerationof purchaseorders.Notes:2/410At least one occurrence ofsegment FSTis required,either in the FSTloop orwithin the SDPloop.These two loops are mutuallyexclusive.3/010Number ofline items (CTT01)is the accumulationofthe number of LIN segments.Ifused, hashtotal(CTT02)is the sumofthe values ofthe quantities(FST01)foreachFSTsegment.User:ThistransactionsetrepresentsNominations,NominationNoticesandSchedules.Thereisoneheaderareapertransactionset.
