Module 5 A lesson in a Lab 深大附中 胡俊丽 1397156168@ Period IV Grammar Language Study 1. 原级比较 肯定:as + adj. / adv. 原级 + as… A和B一样… 否定:not as/so + adj./adv.原级 + as A不如B… 1) Dick is as tall as his brother. 2) This building looks not so(as) high as that one. 3) I have never seen a person as(so) clever as he is. 2. 比较 + than A超过B Eg. 1) Our classroom is brighter than yours. 2) I don’t think maths is more important  than physics. 3. less + adj. / adv. 原级 + than A不如B Eg. 1) Jane is less clever than her sister. 2) John behaves less politely than Bob  (does). 3) It rains less often here in autumn than  in spring. 4. 比较级 + and + 比较级 more and more + 原级 1) You are growing taller and taller. 2) The weather is getting colder and colder. 3) The girl becomes more and more  beautiful. 越来越…… 5. the + 比较级(+主语+谓语), the + 比较级(+主语+谓语). 越…, 就越… Eg. 1) The more careful you are, the better  you will do in the exam. 2) The more you practice, the more  fluently you will speak. 3) The harder he works, the happier he  feels. 6. the + 比较级 + of the two…两者之中比  较…的一个 Eg. 1) This is the bigger of the two rooms. 2) She is the older and the more beautiful  of the two sisters. 7. 某些以or结尾的adj.如: inferior, superior, junior, senior, prior等进行比较时, 用to代替than。 1) Mr. Smith is three years senior to his wife. 2) She is superior to her husband in French. 8. A + be + 倍数 + as + adj. /adv. 原级+ as +B A + be + 倍数 + 比较级 + than + B A + be + 倍数 + the + n.(the size / height / length / width /depth…) + of B 1) Asia is four times as large as Europe. 2) Your school is three times larger than ours. 3) The new building is four times the size of the old one. 译:这本书比那本书厚3倍. This book is four times thicker than that one 译:他的年龄比那个男孩大2倍. His age is three times older than that boy. 译:地球比月球大48倍. The earth is forty-nine
