N ov el nanocellu lose and PE S com posite m em brane is prep ared by mi m erg ed ph aseinversion process. The prop erties o f blended casting so lution are stud ied by v iscosity m easurem ent and fluo rescence m icroscop e. T he e ffects of m ass fraction of nanoce llu lo se and PE S on ultra filtration prope rties o f com pos ite m em brane are d iscu ssed. The sec tion stru cture o f com pos ite m em brane is ob served by scann ing electron m icroscope( SEM ) . T he results show th at the v isco sity of b lended casting solution is increas ing in the nonlinear w ay, w ith the inc rease o f m ass fraction of nanoce llulose. The phase stru cture is m anifested as the seaisland stru cture. T he seaisland stru cture is th at nanocellu lose, as d isp ersing ph ase, is disp ersed in the PE S con secutive ph ase.
