Objective To discuss the role of autograft of bo e a d marrow i spi al fusio Methods 84 patie ts ( 2 hemivertebrae, 8 tuberculosis, 10 spo dylolisthesis, 4 low cervical fractures, 3 i tersegme tal i sta bility , 51 thoracic a d lumbar fractures a d 6 lumbar fractures) were treated with autograft of bo e i primi tive operatio , a d w ere percuta eously tra spla ted with autoge ous marrow u der image i te sifier aft er the first operatio . 74 cases w ere fixed w ith i ter al devices. Results 78 cases were followedup with average of 3006 mo ths. 75 of these got fusio . 3 patie ts developed o u io , 2 of 3 failures w ere firstly recog ized i t he operatio of removi g t he i ter al devices, the remai ed o e was fou d sig s of pseudoarthrosis o Xray films take 8 mo ths after i strume tatio a d ide tified i the seco dary operat io . No e of the patie ts had eurological deterioratio . Conclusion T he value of autograft of bo e a d marrow has bee supported by the study. The compou d graft materials posses much higher osteoi ductive pote t ial. With the lower o u io rate( 385%) , t he result is satisfactory. Key words!
