Hsueh (1,2) Abstract : Prior studies indicated that degraded (ESs) intermediates of biotreatment can play a crucial role as electron shuttles (ESs) to autocatalyze exogenous electron tran sport of pollutant degradation . They can simultaneously stimulate dye biodecolorization and electric energy recycling . This study showed that the electron-mediating characteristics of these (2) intermediates were strongly dependent upon their functional groups present in the chemical structures. 2AP, 4AP, We evaluated the potential of electron-transporting 12db, 14db, b 12d, b 14d, 1A2N, 4A 1N characteristics of these chemicals (e.g., 2AP, 4AP, Thionine Azure A 12db, 14db, b 12d, b 14d, 1A2N, 4A 1N) and thionine- Azure C (MFCs) based textile dyes (i.e., thionine, azure A, azure C) for practical applications.
