Abstract Intracranial pressure monitoring is gradually applied in the field of neurology and neurosurgery as it is the most direct, rapid, objective and accurate method in diagnosis of intracranial hypertension with the constant improvement of medical level. This article has made the detailed introduction to basic knowledge of intracranial pressure monitoring, monitoring methods, monitoring intracranial pressure in clinical application, the nursing staff training, instrument management, pipeline, numerical waveform observation and nursing factors that influence intracranial pressure fluctuation, to improve the nursing on intracranial pressure in clinical application of monitoring, timely detection of potential of intracranial hypertension, provide accurate monitoring data of intracranial pressure and treatment of patients with intracranial hypertension for clinicians.
