Demo Circuit for 3W Bulb Driver
General Description Electrical Characteristics
This demo circuit demonstrates a buck type, Parameter Value
3W DC LED lamp application with the MG20U201 VDD of Driver IC 5.8V
driver IC. The LED load is configured as 3 LEDs in VLED Nominal 9.9 V
one string. ILED 300mA ± 15%
The driver is operated in constant off-time Input Power 3.5W typical
mode. The off time is fixed by the design and the Off-time 10.18us
on-time is adjusted automatically based the on the Input Voltage: 12~85V DC
input voltage level. The EMI requirement is much ILED Current 276~326mA
relaxed because of the switching frequency is ILED Ripple 26mA (p-p)
changed gradually as input voltage.
Line Regulation +/-3% (typical 12V)
The circuit is designed to supply a string of
LEDs with a current of 300mA and a voltage in the
range of 10V from a 12V to 85V DC input.
The application is very suitable for the head
lamp application of e-bike.
