Based on Body 1 (perceptual body and experienced body) and Body 2 (culturally constructed body), he puts forward the third dimension, that is, technological body. Technological body is the synthesis of body 1 and body 2, and the main feature of it is instrumental embodiment, which is the interface of philosophy of science and philosophy of technology. Don Ihde s theory of body investigates the interrelation among embodiment, perception and action, and carries out a kind of new interpretation on situated knowledge and the relationship between human and technology.
