八年级（下 ）Unit 5重难点精讲 考点1 seem的用法 seem作系动词，意为“像是, 似乎”，后接形容词作表语。如： Everything seems easy. 一切似乎很容易。 seem 还用于句型：It seems (or) seemed (that)...。如： The little boy seems to know everything.＝It seems that the little boy knows everything. 这个小男孩似乎什么都懂。 It seems that no one knows what happened. 看来没有人知道发生了什么事。 seem后还可跟不定式。如： The teacher seems to be very angry. 这位老师好像很生气。 seem还可用于“It seems as if 加从句”的结构中。如： It seems as if it is going to rain. 天看起来要下雨了。  seem用于否定句，既可以否定seem，也可以否定不定式。如： My sister doesnt seem to like hamburgers. =My sister seems not to like hamburgers. 我妹妹似乎不喜欢汉堡包。 考点3 as...as...的用法（2010年29题考查） 作比较时，当被比较的双方在性质、特征、状态、程度方面相同时，用as...as...结构，相当于汉语中的“……和什么一样”。句式是“主语+谓语+as+原级+as”。如： He studies as hard as his sister. 他和他的妹妹一样，学习很刻苦。 当被比较双方在性质、特征、状态、程度方面不相同时，用not so（as）...as...结构，相当于汉语中的“……和什么不一样”，句式是“主语+谓语（not）+so（as）+原级+as...”。如： In fact, my aunt is not so mean as they say. 其实，我姑姑没有像他们所说的那样吝啬 考点4 辨析deal with与do with 两者都有“处理，对付”之意，但用法有区别。 deal with意为“处理，解决”，为动介结构短语，with为介词，其后常接trouble, problem, pressure等词，侧重于解决的“方法、方式”，常与how连用。如 Im good at dealing with pressure.我善于应付压力。 How are you going to deal with the TV set?你打算怎么处理这台电视机？ do with意为“处理，解决”，侧重“对象”，常与what连用。如： What are you going to do with the camera you found?你打算怎么处理你找到的那部照相机? 考点5 辨析though与although 考点5 辨析though与although 用作连词 表示“虽然”,两者大致同义,可换用,只是although 比 though 更为正式: Though (or) Although it was raining,we went there. 虽然下着雨,但我们还是去了那儿。 Though (or) Although it was barely four oclock, the lights were already on. 尽管才四点钟,灯已经亮了。 Though (or) Although we are poor, we are still happy. 我们虽然穷,仍然很快乐。 用作副词 although 一般不用作副词,而 though 可用作副词,且一般放在句末(不放在句首),意为“可是”、“不过”: Its hard work; I enjoy it though. 工作很辛苦,可是我乐意干。 He is looking fit, though. 但他看起来很健康。  在 as though(好像,仿佛),even though(即使,纵然)等固定短语中不能用 although: She closed her eyes as though she were tired. 她闭上眼,仿佛很疲劳似的。 We felt as though we had witnessed the whole thing. 我们感到仿佛目击了整个这件事似的。 She was afraid of men, even though she had lots of
