A ctive control expermi entsw ere constructed by a M atlab/xPC real-tmi e control system, and half physical rea-l tmi e data acqu isition and control of a cantilever beam w ere realized by using p iezoelectric materials, show ing a favorable performance even if w hen the m ass of a structure changes. The tmi e domain analysis ind icates that the vibration attenuates qu ickly w ith the increase of a distance aw ay from the vibration source. The expermi ental resu lt show s that the controller canw ork veryw el,l and thism ethod has strong robustness.
