The Chinese Med icine H osp ital of Jiangshan, Jiangshan 324 100, Zhej iang , Ch ina ABSTRACT Objective:T o study the curati e effects of transfer of anterolateral femoral ascularized fas cial flaps for treating degenerat i e art hropat hy of knee joint. ethods:T hirteen patients ( 7 male and 6 female w ith a erage age of 585 years ranging from 46 to 75 years) w ith degenerati e arthropathy of knee joint were t ransfered with anterolateral femoral ascularized fascial flap to repair the defect of joint surface. Results:All patients w ere followed up for 45 to 89 months with an a erage of 50 months. According to the assessment of D O U B aox in , the ex cellent result were achie ed in 7 cases, good in 4 cases and fair in 2 cases. Conclusion: T ransfer of anterolateral femoral ascularized fascial flap for treatment of degenerati e art hropat hy of the knee is characterized by less damage to normal joint structure, less complication, less cost and longterm curat i e ef fect.
