Partial discharge (PD) is a localized dielectric function and work with extremely high level of reliability. These breakdown of a small portion of a solid or fluid electrical substations contain several dielectric interfaces and insulation system under high voltage stress, which does not combinational insulating medias. The GIS may be subject to bridge the space between two conductors.
