US-ChinaEducationReview B，ISSN 2161-6248 August2013，Vo1．3，No．8，612—623 毒 LIS H lN 6 ViewsofEducationalManagersonStressManagementW orking intheBodyofProvinceDirectorateofNational EducationCanakkaleCase SefikaSuleEr~etin IlknurM aya HacettepeUniversity， eanakkaleOnsekizMartUniversity， Ankara，Turkey eanakkale，Turkey Thisresearchaimsatdisplayinginwhichissueseducationalmanagersexperiencestressandhow theymanagethe stress．Theresearch，whichisintheform ofqualitativedesign，usestheinterview method．Thestudygroupwas composedofeighteducationalmanagers-- namely，theprovincemanagerofnationaleducation，vicemnaagers，and departmentmanagers．Theresearchusesasemi-structuredinterview form，sinceitaimstocollectin-depthdata． Thedatacollectedwerena alysedonthebasisofpre-detemr inedthemesaccordingtothequestions．Theresearch hasfoundthateducationalmanagerssufferfrom stressduetochnage，toomuchworkload，staffsinsufficient fulfilmentof duties，out-of-legislation applications，financialscarcity，imbalance ofauthority-responsibility， injusticeinthedistributionofduties，andtopmanagers’authoritarianattitudes．Ontheotherhand，educational managerswerefoundtoemployindividualmethodsratherthna organizationalmethodsinmanagingthestress，and itwasfoundthattheydidnotreceiveexpertsupport． Keywords：stress，stressmanagement，educationalmanagers，provincedirectorateofnationaleducation Introduction Comparedtothepreviousones，the21stcenturyprovidedhumanswithunmeasurabledegreesofmobility andspeed，andledtotheirworkingandlivinginaconstant
