Phosphorylated polysaccharides are widely distributed in nature and have complex structures. Because the separation of natural phosphorylated polysaccharides is difficult and trival, chemical synthesis draws people’s attention and many methods have been developed. In this paper, the progress of phosphorylated polysaccharides was elaborated from three aspects including natural phosphorylated polysaccharides, methods of phosphorylation of polysaccharides and bioactivities of phosphorylated polysaccharides.
