Firstly , the digital image f ball nut is c llected by a digital camera and is input int a c mputer thr ugh a digital interface card. Sec ndly, the riginal gray level image with n ise is transf rmed int edge inf rmati n with singlepixel width via pr cesses such as prepr cessing , image seg mentati n and thinning, etc. Thirdly, ball nut s parameters are calculated by c mpiled pr gram and ge metrical err rs f ball nut such as r undness, cylindricity are measured actually, and data pr cessing and calibrati n are d ne. The the retical analysis and experimental results sh w that the technique requirement f pr ducti n can be satisfied with this meth d.
